OH MAN a lot has happened since I last blogged. A lot as in… I opened up a new business! A great friend of mine and fellow photographer, Micayla, and I went in on a beautiful studio space in a mill building that we have opened up to share with others. A co-working studio, collaborative work space, and studio for us to create and develop our own personal businesses and work in- Maple and Moon Creative! It’s been a ride since December as we started looking for spaces, found the perfect one, did alllll the behind the scenes things it takes to get a brick and mortar business up and running, opened our doors February 1st, and hosted an epic launch party on March 1st.

The response, interest, and use of our space since the moment we opened the doors has already overwhelmed us in the best way possible. We have really big plans and dreams for this business and can’t wait to watch it bloom.

After some of the dust settled from our opening and launch party I finally got in there to get some creative work of my own under my belt and really test out the space and the light. I convinced my good friend Carley to hang out on a Sunday with us, dance, goof around, and shoot some portraits so I could gain some confidence in my studio.
